Happy Thanksgiving!

It's Thanksgiving Day today, but it didn't really feel like it. We're doing Thanksgiving on Saturday this year, and so today, my parents and I decided to go see a movie and then eat out at a Japanese Steakhouse. The movie we saw was "Old Dogs" and it was pretty good, not as funny as we thought it would be, but not bad. After the movie, we went to the restaurant, and found out that it was closed for the day, along with every, single, restaurant. The only restaurants that we found that were open were The Cracker Barrel, Waffle House, and Ruby Tuesdays, oh and this random Korean place. We ended up going to Ruby Tuesdays, which was much better than Waffle House and the Korean place. After dinner, we came home and we all basically passed out!

Mom and I were planning on waking up early to go shopping tomorrow, but we found out that it's easier and a better deal to just wait until Monday to shop online!

I'm almost done with my class this semester, only a couple weeks to go. I've already registered for next semester. I'm taking 2 classes, Improvisation and Personal Wellness. I've almost got my Associates and all i need are a few electives! I'm looking forward to next semester! The professor teaching the Improv class is a friend of mine who's been asking me to take one of her classes for a few years now. Plus, i really enjoy drama classes! The Personal Wellness class is going to be my P.E/health class, and i'm actually pretty interested in it.

I saw New Moon last weekend with a couple friends of mine. It was a pretty good movie, but definitely not as good as the book. I had very high expectations of this movie, since it's my favorite book out of the whole series, and I had heard that this was going to be a LOT better than the first movie, which it was! Watching it with my friend Max though was interesting. He kept talking throughout the whole movie, and would laugh at inappropriate moments, which made me want to hit him, haha. Afterwards, we sat in my car and talked about the movie, what we liked and what we didn't like. Kadija was the other friend to go with us, and she is a fan of the books as well, so she wasn't as harsh on it as Max was. All in all it was really fun hanging out with them! They're becoming two of my closest friends and I'm really thankful for them.

I'm also thankful for my wonderful family and crazy animals. I'm thankful that I wake up every morning and am able to fall asleep in my comfortable bed every night. I'm thankful that even though we're in a recession, our family isn't struggling like so many others. I'm thankful that my parents support me, no matter what I want to do. I'm thankful they let me live here, rent free and that they pay for my classes each semester! I'm thankful for every single day I'm alive.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Summer is officially over!

So, it's labor day, and summer is officially over for everybody! Tomorrow, every kid goes back to school. Unfortunately, I have been back in school for 2 weeks. I'm only taking one class, Economics, so it's not bad. I go on Monday and Wednesday from 1-2:15pm. I'm not too fond of Economics, as it mostly has to do with politics and I just plain don't understand it. However, I like my professor, and his ways of teaching, and he's making the class more enjoyable. The one downside to this class is the 5 page paper we have to do by the end of the semester. I am not a writer, in fact, I loathe writing essays! I'm more of a reader. So, not only do I have to write an essay, but it has to be something about economics, which I barely understand!! I haven't had to write an essay in a long time, and the last time i had to, i stressed myself out so much, that i got sick and my sister had to write it for me!

Anyways, this summer has been pretty good. On a scale of 1-10, i'd give it a 7.5! The beginning was great, I went to Philiadelphia for my conference, and had Mat for a week. The rest has been kinda boring, except for hanging out with my friends. This summer I got back in touch with my best friend Chris, after not seeing/hearing from him in a year. It's been great being able to hang out with him again!! On Friday, we went out to dinner at Chili's, my treat! I went with dad to a briefing for work one day, and as a thank you, they gave him a gift card for Chili's, and since dad doesn't like the place, he gave it to me and told me to take a friend out to dinner, so I did! We had fun, and the food was good, and the waitress was fantastic! I had to go home earlier than I usually do cause we were leaving early in the morning the next day to go to Amanda's. Before I left though, we watched "Adventureland", I really like that movie! This summer, I also got to hang out with my new group of friends from school/work. I found that I have a few groups of friends!! I love it!

This weekend, we went to South Carolina to visit Amanda. It was my first time to her new house. I love her new house, it's soooo nice! I am so very happy for her! On Saturday, we got there at around noon and just hung out for most of the day. Amanda and Mom went and got her a new bedroom set, dining room, and a couch. The bedroom set and dining room set came later that night and got set up. Her house is starting to really look like a home! On Sunday, we went to a flea market place, where they had a ton of buildings with all the people set up inside. I got a few things, including a bunch of rings, a tiny pocket knife and a little guitar. Mom got a couple skillets and a couple of pictures to hang up on the wall. I don't think Amanda got anything and Dad got a pocket knife too, he actually got mine for me. We left on Sunday to come home. I wanted to stay until today, but mom and dad wanted to get home so we could work around the house and yard today before going back to work tomorrow.

I'm a little sad that summer is over, but I'm happy because it's getting nicer outside! Well, that's about it! Until next time.........

It's been awhile

Sorry about not posting very much. I normally use LiveJournal for blogging, but none of my family is on there, so that's why i made this blog.

The last couple months have been rather boring in comparison to our trip to Philly and the week after when Mathies was here. The Conference was pretty good, I made a few new friends and got back in touch with some old ones. There was a lot of drama too though, which was sad, because we were there to have fun. It was between me and this girl named Emily, she had a problem with me and the fact that her boyfriend, Mathies, was coming to visit for a week. Long story short, we got into a fight, a friend stepped in for me and helped and made us hug. By the end of the conference, we were being civil to each other. I had so much fun otherwise though! At night, four of us girls would sit in one of our rooms and chat til the early hours of the morning, and during the day we went to presentations, and swam in the pool and ate food and had fun.

Having Mathies over was sooo much fun! We did a lot of travelling, and even got into the local newspaper, thanks to mom. We went to a few historical places in Virginia, like downtown Fredericksburg, where we saw Mary Washingtons house, and George Washington's sister's house. We also went to Historical Henricus with Melissa and the girls, that was really fun! Maddy loves Mathies, even though she hit him in between the legs with her bug net, lol. We also chilled out in our rooms, playing on the computer, while chatting on MSN to each other. I still miss him, but thanks to the internet, we've kept in touch.

I've been spending more time with my group of friends from school/work. Sometimes I still can't believe I have an actual group of friends. I ususally only have like one or two close friends, and neither of them like each other. Last Friday, we had a surprise birthday party for our friend Max, he turned 21 on Sunday. Oh, another thing, i'm the oldest of our group, lol! Anyways, we surprised Max at Five Guys with an Oreo Ice Cream Cake and presents. Then, after that, we met up with the last member of our group at the movies and watched "District 9". That movie was SO WEIRD! I'm still not sure if I really liked it or not. It was gross, and weird and disturbing, but it was actually a good movie idea! This friday, we're going to either go roller skating or bowling, hopefully.

I start back at school on Monday. I'm only taking one class again this semester, it's Economics. I'm not working this semester either, mom and dad want me to concentrate on my class. I'm glad though because our boss got a new job, and all my friends from work moved onto VCU. Luckily I still have Max there, we're the only ones left.

That's about it for now! Until next time....

Conference!

Tomorrow, Mom, Dad, and I are taking a train to Philly to go to the VACTERL Conference! I am pretty excited about it, i've been waiting for 2 years to go again and I can't wait. I'm just a bit nervous about having to wake up at 4am and drive to the train station. It'll only be a 4 hour ride, so not much time to sleep. Most of my friends are getting there today, and I've been texting them back and forth pretty much all day. I'm almost completely packed and ready to go, I just know I'm going to forget something. We'll be home on Sunday, and my friend Mathies is coming home with us, which makes me really happy! That's about it for now! Until next time....

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today was really fun! Today was my mom's 51st birthday! It started off early for me, earlier than usual. I had to wake up at around 9:45am because my respiratory therapist came over at 10 to check on how my oxygen was doing. It went well, and we found out that I might be able to get a new bi-pap, which is good, because the one I own is ancient!

She left at around 11, so I had a few hours before Melissa and the girls would be over. I watched "Million Dollar Baby" for the first time, and cried my eyes out. What a sad ending! I walked around most of the day without oxygen, did that yesterday too! I'm feeling 99% back to normal. It's nice to have the oxygen around though, for when I get really out of breath, it helps me catch my breath so much quicker. I also didn't have a headache/migraine today, which was soo nice!

The girls showed up around 5, and dad was here for a little bit before he had to go to a meeting for work. I had SO much fun playing with Madelyn, and seeing Emily growing so quick is amazing! I love when they come over, I can't imagine loving someone so much, but it's possible! Madelyn and Emily are the most loveable people in the world! I love that Maddy is growing up, becomming more of a person. She is SO freaking smart, it amazes me every time I see her. She knows our cars, she knows she's too big for me, which is rather funny. She can sing her whole alphabet song...so much. I love her to death! I can't wait until Emily gets bigger and then I'll have two of them to play with....wait...maybe not so fast, lol. I got worn out, completely, like I do everytime when I play with Maddy. Like I said before, it's a good thing I have the oxygen, because it was used today. I can't help but do whatever Maddy wants me to do. I know she can do whatever she wants me to do for her, but, it's like I can't help it, she's just so cute!

Mom said she had a fantastic birthday! I apologized for not getting her anything, even a card, but she said that just having her family take time to spend time with her was the best thing she could ask for. I love my mom so much! Until next time....

Edit: We got some good photos that i'd like to share!

Getting better!

So, today I have been feeling better. I've noticed that I'm not getting out of breath as often, and I can take the oxygen off and not have to rush to put it back on after a minute or so. Also, my appetite has almost returned to normal, which is great!

Only 17 more days until my VACTERL Conference!! I'll be there whether I need oxygen or not! One of my best friends from the Conference is coming home with us for a week! Mathies, or Mat, is coming home with us. He is one of the few great friends I met through these Conferences, and a website. I'm really happy that I am bringing him home because leaving the Conference is hard, it's only 2-3 days long, and you don't get much time to spend with these people who live all over the world! Mat lives in Denmark, so the only way I am able to talk to him is through instant messenging.

Other than my recent hospital stay, I've been pretty healthy! I hadn't stayed in the hospital since December of 2006! Lets hope I can go longer this time. It stresses out my family so much, and I hate being a burden, which i know i'm not, but it still feels like it. Plus, it's no fun being cooped up in the hospital and feeling like crap.

I guess that's it for now! Until next time.....

First time on here!

Hello!

I am home from the hospital! I got home yesterday afternoon.  Haven't done much of anything since I got home, except for sleeping and lounging around.  The doctors still don't know what exactly is wrong with me.  In my opinion, the Adult ward doctors are retarded!  I do NOT want to e transferred there.  They didn't even know I have VACTERLS!!  I was in a crappy mood the whole time, because those people kept irritating me, and then I'd push my anger off on mom and dad, and i feel really bad about that.  I got some good bruises though.  They even had to try to get blood from my foot, twice!   I'm just really really happy to be home.  I'm not %100 yet, I'm still on oxygen, and that headache still comes around, but, just being in my own home helps.  The cats are avoiding me, the thing that smells funny and has a very very long tail coming out it's nose, and is making really weird noises, lol.

Thanks to my family for being there for me, and making sure I'm ok.  Thanks for everyone else for keeping me in their prayers! Love you all!

I'll try to keep this thing updated.  I have about 5-6 social media networks, lol, but I'll do my best!  Until next time....
